The Moow website, including The Daily, and the mobile app use the same Moow account. Deleting that account from either place removes it across both products. This is not a separate reader-account deletion.
Before deleting, contact support about an export of supported private data. Wait until you have received and downloaded any available export you want to keep; requesting one does not mean it is ready. Account deletion also removes your Daily comments from the active service.
For security, the normal deletion controls require an authenticated account and a second confirmation. Do not send identity documents or private health records through ordinary email unless the support team gives you a secure, necessary path.
Open Settings, go to the Account section, choose Delete Moow account, and complete both confirmations. This also deletes your account on the website.
Sign in on The Daily, open your account overview, and choose Delete Moow account. Review the account email and deletion scope, then type DELETE to enable the final confirmation. This also deletes your account in the mobile app.
Email the account address and a short description of the access problem. Support will explain the verification path; email alone does not automatically authorize deletion.
Request helpThe deletion workflow removes your login identity and account-owned profile, meals, workouts, movement and progress records, imported health content, private images, Moow AI consent and conversations, community records, saved stories, reactions, reader activity, memberships, sessions, and matching newsletter subscription. It also requests removal of the Mixpanel profile and product-analytics events linked to the account.
Account deletion removes your Daily comment text, including comments previously hidden or deleted from view. Other readers’ comments remain. Copies held in recovery backups are subject to the retention described below.
Deleting your Moow account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Manage or cancel it with the store that bills you: Apple subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions. Sign in with the store account used for the purchase.
For help finding a subscription, see the official Apple cancellation guide or Google Play cancellation guide.
When Moow accepts deletion, your current website session is cleared. “Deletion started” means some account, storage, or provider cleanup is still running in the background. A completed account-deletion response does not guarantee that every provider has finished: Mixpanel processing may take up to 30 days. Deletion cannot be undone once accepted.
If the website cannot confirm the result because the connection fails, it clears the local session and shows that uncertainty. Do not assume the request failed or create a replacement account. Contact support if you need help establishing the outcome.
A deletion job may keep encrypted, tightly limited continuation data and a bounded provider request status while Mixpanel, another provider, or a storage step is retried. Content-free one-way markers can also remain to stop a stale token or delayed request from recreating a deleted account. These records are not a usable copy of the deleted account.
Deletion removes data from active services. Routine database backups currently use a seven-day window. Encrypted Storage backups target 30 days, retain at least two snapshots, and defer pruning if verification fails. Separately held launch and recovery copies have a 30-day retention period from capture. A documented recovery incident or legal preservation need can extend that period, with review at least weekly until the need ends. See the privacy notice for retention and request details.
In the mobile app, Product analytics on this device asks the Mixpanel SDK to stop future collection from that installation. The setting is stored separately on each device and does not erase events Mixpanel already received; full account deletion or a verified privacy request covers provider-held history linked to the account.
You can disconnect imported health data, delete an AI conversation, remove a saved story or reaction, edit or delete your own comment, unsubscribe from the newsletter, or simply sign out without deleting the whole account.
